What is an SEO calculator?

An SEO calculator is a free tool that converts search data into a decision. You enter numbers you already have, such as search volume, ranking position, clicks, impressions, budget or word count, and it returns an estimate: expected organic traffic, click-through rate, return on SEO spend, keyword value or content readability. The dexocalc SEO calculators run in your browser and show the exact formula behind every result.

A three-step SEO workflow with these calculators

After more than a decade building and ranking websites, the pattern I trust is simple: decide with numbers, write for people, then measure honestly. These calculators slot into that loop.

01 · Plan

Pick keywords worth winning

Run shortlisted keywords through the Keyword Value and Organic Traffic calculators. Prioritise terms where realistic positions still produce meaningful visits, then size the effort with the SEO Cost Calculator.

02 · Write

Publish pages people finish

Check the draft with the Readability and Keyword Density calculators, add an accurate reading time, and fit the title and meta description inside the pixel limit so your snippet is not cut short.

03 · Measure

Read results, not vanity metrics

Pull clicks and impressions from Search Console into the CTR Calculator, fix slow templates using the Lighthouse Score Calculator, and report outcomes with the SEO ROI Calculator.

Honest limitation: every SEO forecast is an estimate. Click-through rates vary by query, device and SERP features such as AI Overviews, ads and video carousels, so treat traffic and ROI projections as planning ranges and replace them with your own Search Console data as soon as you have it.

Methodology

SEO formulas used in these calculators

Every dexocalc SEO calculator uses a published or widely accepted formula. Here they are in one place, so you can check the maths yourself.

FAQ

SEO calculator questions, answered

Yes. Every SEO calculator on dexocalc is free, needs no account and runs in your browser. Text you paste into the content tools is processed on your device and is not sent to a server.

Subtract your total SEO cost from the revenue organic search generated, divide by the cost and multiply by 100. For example, $30,000 of organic revenue on $10,000 of SEO spend is a 200% ROI. The SEO ROI Calculator also estimates the month you break even.

Multiply the keyword’s monthly search volume by the expected click-through rate for your ranking position. A keyword with 2,000 monthly searches and a 10% CTR at your position would bring roughly 200 visits a month. Use your own Search Console CTR when you have it.

There is no single good number. Organic CTR depends mostly on position and on what else appears on the results page, such as ads, AI Overviews and featured snippets. The most useful benchmark is your own average CTR for pages at the same position.

No. Google has said keyword density is not something its systems use as a target, and stuffing keywords is listed in its spam policies. Use the Keyword Density Calculator to catch unnatural repetition, then write naturally and cover the topic thoroughly.

Search results truncate titles by rendered width, and letters have different widths. A title full of wide letters like W and M can be cut off at fewer characters than one with narrow letters like i and l, so pixel width predicts truncation more reliably.

The maths is exact; the inputs are estimates. Search volumes from keyword tools are rounded, and CTR varies by query and SERP layout. Treat forecasts as planning ranges and replace assumptions with your own analytics data as soon as possible.

Start with the Organic Traffic Calculator to understand how rankings turn into visits, then the CTR Calculator with your Search Console data. Together they show where a small ranking or title improvement can bring the most extra traffic.
